I have to admit that I'm not the best with getting myself in front of the lens, BUT I'm making an effort to change that! My parents came to visit for a few weeks over Christmas, so I got my ever talented friend Krysta of Krysta Jayne MUA to come over and pamper my mom and I, and even give little miss some curls and sparkles. I used a couple of my prop dresses for little miss and I, and the boys came just as handsome as can be. My lovely friend Jessica of Mushrooms & Thyme came and snapped some pics with my camera.

It was chaos, we were sweaty, it lasted about 10 minutes, a certain handsome boy was NOT in the mood, but we got it done! So believe me when I tell you, I get it! HAHA

It's so important to exist in photos, even if you have jiggly bits or don't like what your hair is doing, that doesn't matter in the end! So, without further ado, here are just a few of me with my family (and even our little old pup, Jasper).

There is this little gem of a place hidden about 45 min from Edmonton called Farm Fresh Florals that has endless possibilities for your portrait photos AND you can even purchase your own cut-flower bouquet to remember your time there.

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Jen last summer and we totally vibed haha She showed me all of the amazing spots around their property and then let me have free reign to photograph my gorgeous friends in her space.

I did everything from family photos to more artsy portraits and even a few branding shots for Jen at the end of the evening before I picked my own bouquet to bring home with me. She took me around the garden while I chose my favourite flowers to create a little bit of happiness to keep. And because the flowers go right from the garden to your home, they last even longer!

COVID-19 has most definitely posed many challenges and opportunities for families and photographers alike. There are so many families that have missed out on sessions they dreamed of, and believe me, us photographers wish we could have been there for all of them too.

I have been so fortunate to still be part of creating memories with so many families, and the most recent even made a big move all way from England to come to Canada with their little, it's just too bad Spring keeps teasing us with arriving this year!

​This family was so brave and came out even though it was only 4 degrees for their session. I'm sure you will agree with me that the results were still so wonderful, and you can see the love and joy in every photo.

And that's a wrap! I just can't with those blue eyes though.
