Hello, I'm Virginia (a.k.a. Gin to my family and friends). I'm the optimistic, glass half-full girl, who tries to make sure everyone meets their daily smile quota. I love chocolate (possibly a bit too much), snuggling with my children and our toy poodle, and curling up on the couch to all my favourite shows. My husband is generous enough to put up with my photography habit as well haha.
I am the mother of two gorgeous littles, who you will see occasionally in my posts on Facebook and Instagram. They constantly inspire me to keep pushing myself to get better at doing what I love.
Being a professional photographer since 2010 allows me the ability to handle pretty much any situation that is thrown at me. Going with the flow is often the name of the game with photography, and I really love a challenge. Some of my favourite photos come out of the unplanned moments, the small gestures, the quick glances. I love to capture the moments that really tell your story.
I am also an Accredited Professional Photographer with the Professional Photographers of Canada, which means you can be confident that I will deliver high quality images that you can be proud to display in your home. My current accreditations are in Portraiture and Child and Infant Portraits.
Why Hire an Accredited Professional Photographer?
In this day and age, where anyone can call themselves a ‘Professional Photographer’, how can you be sure?
When you make the wise choice to decide to hire a PPOC Accredited Professional Photographer you can feel confident they will provide you with the skills and expertise necessary to get the job done and that you will be happy with the results. Accredited photographers possess the experience, knowledge, and equipment to provide you with a quality product in their area of expertise.
To become Accredited the Photographer must submit a set of 10 images in one or more of the 79 categories of photographic specialties identified by PPOC. The submission is then judged by a panel of qualified judges. Once successfully completed, the photographer is then recognized as a PPOC Accredited Photographer and as such, a specialist in their chosen field.
