What happens first? |
When you contact me to book a session, I will contact you to chat about who you are, and how YOU want to be seen in your photos. We will then work together to find a date and time that works for your session.
|
Where do we do the photo session? |
I am primarily a studio photographer, creating your photos in my small, yet mighty home studio in Southwest Edmonton. We can create your memories with no worry about what is happening outside and take the stress out of watching the weather. No sweaty faces or frozen toes here!
|
What time of day is best? |
Whenever works best for your schedule, generally works for me. I tend to do sessions with children in the morning or after nap times to ensure they are rested and happy, but we all know that kids will do what they like, when they like.
|
What should you wear? |
My first rule is that you should wear something you feel great in. If the clothes don't make you feel awesome, it will show in your photos. It's great to coordinate your clothes with your family, while not matching exactly.
Choosing a pallet of a few colours to use is a great idea. For example, in the Fall, mustard, burgundy and navy is a lovely combination of colours that you can mix throughout your pieces. I ask that you try to stay away from anything with large logos, as it's YOU we want to focus on in your photos. I am always here to help when you are choosing your outfits as well. Send me your options and I can help narrow things down! At the end of the day, your photos should reflect who YOU are, and these are all merely suggestions. |
On the day of the session |
For studio sessions, I ask that you arrive about 10 minutes early to get get settled and we can organize your outfit choices and any props to be used during your session. Studio sessions can tend to last a little bit longer to allow for changing of backgrounds and wardrobe changes, if desired.
I ask that you also try to be a few minutes early to help get everyone settled and ready to go. We will likely chat a bit to plan your photos and pick any props you may want from my closet and then get right into the fun. |
After your session |
It takes me about 2-3 weeks to edit your photos. I choose the best of the best (usually approximately 30-40 images), and then we meet either in person or via zoom for me to present your gallery to you. You choose how you want to display your images and for every product you purchase, those images are provided to you as a digital copy as well for display online or sharing with family, at no extra cost.
You choose what images you want to keep and how much you would like to spend, and it's my job to make sure you love them all! |
Client closet |
I have collect a small selection high quality pieces to bring your portraits to the next level including mauve tulle skirts in adult, teen and toddler sizes, dresses and tulle for days that we can create with. I also have some vintage knit outfits that can be used for cozy session. Creating something with a swath of fabric is also a passion of mine. No two creations are the same and we can have a little couture fun.
Ask me any time about what I have available for your session. |
